The Vivo Y31s smartphone with the recently launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 SoC processor has been launched in China. The new Vivo Y31S is a budget smartphone with slim bezels on the sides but relatively thick bezels on the top and bottom. The Vivo Y31S comes with a notch for the selfie camera and a dual rear camera setup. The smartphone comes in two RAM, storage configurations and three color options. It is powered by a Snapdragon 480 SoC chipset with Snapdragon 4 Series processor that comes with 5G connectivity.
The Vivo Y31S 4GB + 128GB variant is priced at CNY 1,498 (approximately Rs 17,000) and the 6GB + 128GB variant is priced at CNY 1,698 (approximately Rs 19,300). It is available in Gray, Red and Silver. This smartphone is currently available for reservation on the Vivo China website. Shipping will start from January 15. Currently, the company does not specify the international price and availability of the Vivo Y31s.
The Vivo Y31S comes with dual nano SIM based on Android 11 and runs on Fontouch operating system 10.5 The 6.58-inch Full HD + (1,080x2,408 pixels) display features a 90Hz refresh rate and a screen-to-body ratio of 90.61%. The new Vivo phone is powered by a Snapdragon 480 octa-core SoC processor that comes with the newly announced Adreno 619 GPU. It has up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage.
The Vivo Y31S features a 13-megapixel primary sensor with f / 2.2 lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f / 2.4 lens. The rear camera setup has autofocus. The front has an 8-megapixel camera and an f / 2.0 aperture for taking selfies.
Connectivity options include 5G, 4G Vault, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors in the Vivo Y31S include a gravity sensor, an ambient light sensor, a proximity sensor, a gyroscope, and an electronic compass. The Vivo Y31S comes with a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. The Vivo Y31S weighs 185.5 grams.
